November 2016 - Discover Adventure

We specialise in taking the consultative approach with every charity we work with. We know not all charities are the same, that you have different goals, supporter networks, projects and passions. This is why we’d rather talk to you direct, so we can understand your objectives and translate them into the most successful challenge event you’ve ever run.  An outline of our process is below but if you’d rather cut to the chase, give us a call.

Enquire about Bespoke Challenges

Our open challenges are trips with pre-established itineraries, dates and fundraising targets. With no cost to get involved, and no financial risk, any charity can promote these and benefit from a supporter’s fundraising efforts. We’ll give you (and them!) all the support you’ll need to help build or enhance your portfolio of fundraising events.

Raising large amounts of money for charity can seem daunting, but with a positive attitude, some imagination and a healthy dose of determination, the money will start mounting up in no time!

Remember that your charity will have highly-experienced fundraising staff, so do talk to them if you are finding it hard-going or need direction.  Most charities are also able to give you sponsorship forms, collection tins, T-shirts and more.

Don’t forget, when you have completed your registration with us you can use the JustGiving link at the end of your confirmation email to set up your fundraising page.  Just click on the JustGiving logo, register (if you don’t already have an account) and select the charity you wish to fundraise for.

There are plenty of other helpful websites – one example is through the Institute of Fundraising but here are some pointers from the experts:

Are you a keen challenger, with a desire to make your mark and forge new paths?

Embrace the true spirit of adventure and help blaze the trail for our latest challenges by taking on a Pioneering Challenge. We’re constantly researching new challenge routes and destinations to make our portfolio of trips the best they can be for you.

Once we’ve designed and route tested them, we’re calling upon you to embrace the ultimate adventure and take part in the challenge with a view to influencing how the challenge develops in the future.

MEET THE DA MEDICS!

We send out medics on our most of our challenges to ensure you’re safe and to patch you up en-route if necessary. They are known for their medical professionalism, caring approach and ability to muck in with the rest of the crew and help make your trip run as smoothly as possible. Most of our medics fit our trips in around their GP or hospital duties and come back on our trips time and time again. They’re a highly valued part of the DA team and help to make your experience the best it can be.

Meet the people who make it happen!

Great challenges mean great people and we're proud of our team that make them happen year on year.

All the people below (plus the many more who work for us throughout the year) are chosen because they have that rare ability to inspire and lead groups of people of all ages and from all backgrounds. It goes without saying that they all love travel and the freedom of the outdoors but, they can also fix bikes, often speak a multitude of languages, thrive on little sleep and still be energetic, negotiate baggage allowance with airlines and demonstrate a sense of humour at 5000m above sea-level, so we wouldn’t be without them!

Here's a few of the leaders that you might meet on your next challenge
