Wells for India

Over 91m people in India don’t have access to safe water. Rajasthan is the most water-scarce state - for 51m people living in rural communities, accessing water is a daily struggle. Wells for India is working with communities in Rajasthan to help themselves out of water poverty by harnessing the forgotten ancient wisdoms of water preservation while innovating with new technologies. Focusing on water harvesting and improving sanitation, Wells for India differs from many organisations in that it co-invests costs and labour with local communities, creating solutions that are adapted to their specific needs and that are sustainable over the long-term.
