Here at The Grand Appeal, the official Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, we are committed to saving lives and supporting families at the children’s hospital. We created Cots for Tots in 2010 to support and raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol. Together, we have one vision for the future: to ensure every sick child and baby from across the South West has access to the very best care, 365 days a year.
From helping staff, patients or their families, we put Bristol Children’s Hospital at the heart of everything we do. We support the hospital by: - Family accommodation: we run three accommodation houses that provide a safe and supportive place for families stay while their child is in hospital. - Medical research: we invest in medical research programmes to ensure the hospital remains a hub of innovation, where every day experts pave the way for sick children through a network of projects with international impact. - Equipment: we fund state-of-the-art equipment to save lives. - Music, play and art therapy: our music, play and arts programme can be seen on every ward at Bristol Children’s Hospital, helping young children to deal with the stresses and fears they may face during treatment. - Art enhancements: We work to make sure Bristol Children’s Hospital provides a fun, stimulating and comforting space for the brave children it cares for.
Whether we are running fundraising campaigns or working in partnership with the hospital to care for patients, parents and staff, we aim to make sure Bristol Children’s Hospital is the very best it can be.
