Tumaini Fund

"The Tumaini Fund" takes its name from the Swahili word "Tumaini" meaning "Hope" and aims to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Biblical imperative to care for widows and orphans. It's objective - to support Aids widows and orphans in Kagera, NW Tanzania towards independent existence by improving standards of living, promoting health and education and supplying mosquito nets to prevent malaria.

In 2012, Tumaini is supporting 20,000 children, sending over 8,000 to secondary school at a cost of £50 per head. We also provide housing and bore-holes where needed. 100% of all donations are transferred to Tanzania."
