The Cyrenians

The Cyrenians was founded in 1970 to provide support to homeless and socially excluded people throughout the North East. At The Cyrenians we work to make a real difference – locally, regionally and nationally through effective, pioneering and innovative services. We support over 1275 people every single month and unfortunately this is increasing each year with benefit cuts and the impacts of the recession.

We not only tackle the immediate basic needs of warmth, food and shelter but also focus on mental and physical health needs, social inclusion and education, enabling our clients to become positive, active members of the community.
