Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK

Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK is the only national charity in the UK dedicated both to supporting people affected by SMA, and investing in essential research into causes, treatments and eventually a cure for the condition.

SMA is a genetically inherited muscle wasting condition, which 1 in 40 of the population carry the affected gene for. In its severest form it is the biggest genetic cause of infant death in the UK today.
