Ryedale Special Families

Ryedale Special Families provides care and support for over 400 families who have children or young adults with disabilities, illness and/or additional needs, throughout the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire. Our support to these families includes providing information, advice and guidance, running a series of social groups for different age ranges, providing flexible care including respite care, and organising a whole range of family activities. What began life in the early 90s as 20 families of disabled children meeting in homes, has evolved to become a charity which has more than 40 staff as well as a host of volunteers. The demands on our resources is ever growing which is why we need the support of individuals and local businesses, in particular during 2019 & 2020 when we are looking to move to new purpose built premises so that we can expand the services that we provide.
