Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice offers specialist palliative care to adults and their families facing a terminal illness is West Surrey and North East Hampshire. Our philosophy is about living, not dying, and understanding that the modern use of the word ‘hospice’ is about a specialist system of care across many professions in the community. Unfortunately over the last 5 years we have seen the proportion of our NHS funding reduce to cover just 12% of our costs. This means we now have to raise £15,000 a day to continue to support 140 people both at the Hospice and out in the community.
