OCHRE

OCHRE was founded in 2001 by a group of friends following the loss of a colleague. As they spoke of his loss they were amazed at how many people had lost someone to oesophageal cancer and how similar the stories were. OCHRE works to raise awareness of oesophageal cancer to improve rates of early diagnosis and survival. We do this by working with clinicians, Government, other cancer organisations and the NHS to drive awareness campaigns, knowledge and understanding of symptoms. OCHRE also funds research into the causes and treatment of this less survivable cancer to improve the current outcomes which are very poor.
