The statistics are sobering every day 25 people are diagnosed with leukaemia – that is someone every hour and one in 25 of us will develop a blood cancer in our lifetime. Although there have been major advances, more research is needed. Too many patients will suffer complications or risk dying. Leuka funds exceptional scientists at haematology centres across the UK but we need more to do more to bring innovative new therapies to patients – more quickly and safely. Leuka is committed to playing a pivotal role in this in ensuring a future free of blood cancer.
