HEART UK – The Cholesterol Charity - is passionate about preventing premature deaths caused by high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease – especially inherited high cholesterol (IHC). IHC affects about one person in every 100 and can cause early cardiovascular disease and shorten lives. IHC can kill fit young people, without warning, in their 30s and 40s – and even in their 20s! That’s why HEART UK is committed to helping and supporting individuals, families and health professionals to understand and control cholesterol conditions and related cardiovascular risks.
