Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice

We are a local charity, caring for over 2,500 people every year, and all of our care is provided free of charge to people living in the Boroughs of Royal Greenwich and Bexley. We provide high-quality, compassionate care and support to people with all types of terminal illnesses, their families and their carers. Our care is delivered to people at home, in care homes, in our Hospice beds, in our Day Hospice and in hospital.

We provide holistic care that goes beyond physical needs – offering spiritual, social and psychological care, advice and support wherever needed. We also support and educate healthcare professionals to deliver high quality, individualised and co-ordinated care to people with all terminal illnesses.

We receive only around a third of our funding from the NHS. That means we need to fundraise £5m every year from local people, businesses and organisations to continue to fund our services. We employ approximately 180 staff and are supported by over 450 volunteers to help us deliver our services.
