Bedford Hospitals Charity

The Primrose Appeal was launched in 2000 by the Bedford Hospitals Charity (Registered Charity No 299250) to raise money to build and equip a Cancer Unit at Bedford Hospital. Thanks to a huge effort by the community, in December 2003 over £2million had been raised and the unit was open for patients. Since that time, the Unit has been providing first class treatment for cancer patients. There is ongoing need for improvements to the facility and updating of equipment and the community has continued to provide remarkable financial support through the Appeal.
