Back Up Trust

Back Up exists to transform the lives of everyone affected by spinal cord injury. That means delivering a range of services to build confidence and independence back into people’s lives and offering a support network when it is needed most. It also means challenging the perceptions of disability and showing that life with a spinal cord injury can be a full and active one. Around 400 highly skilled volunteers and staff make up our team – most of us are affected by spinal cord injury. As a result we have a strong understanding of the challenges an injury can pose. We support over 2,000 people a year of all ages to lead the life they want. We are there at every stage, and we are there for families and loved ones too. Today, we’re at the forefront of helping people adjust positively to spinal cord injury. At Back Up, we’re here for people in their darkest hours – so they get back up to living life to the full!
