African Solutions to African Problems (ASAP)

African Solutions to African Problems (ASAP) identifies, supports and develops community organizations run by women, to provide care for orphans and children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS.

ASAP supports the development of Drop-in centres rather than orphanages and institutions. These centres provide one-stop access to:

education

nutrition

psychological support and childcare training

first-aid and home-based healthcare training

access to health services and social welfare grants

youth development

community outreach activities

grandmother programmes

capacity building

fencing, tools, seedlings and access to clean water, boreholes, pumps, rainwater tanks, gutters and irrigation equipment

organic agriculture training
